About the Event

Once again, the National Youth Council will be organising the National Youth Parliament on 18 September 2023. This activity gives the opportunity to young people to experience the most basic procedures within the Maltese Parliament.

The themes for this year are:

– Freedom of media and the political polarisation of local media

– The regularisation of prostitution in Malta

During the summer, participants will have the chance to create a resolution on themes selected by us in order to eventually present them during a parliamentary session towards the end of the summer. Before the session itself, some workshops are also held to help the participants develop their skills. After the resolutions are agreed by the participants in the session, they are presented to the President, the Prime Minister and the Leader of the Opposition.

This event is open to Youth between the ages of 13 and 30.
