About the Event

📢 Have you ever wondered what it feels like to manage a nature reserve, getting your hands dirty with habitat management work and also learning interesting facts about the flora and fauna of the place through research? 🦋🦗🌲🌱🦉🦩🦅🐦🍄🐞🦎🐇
Well now you can! If you are aged 7 to 11 years and have a keen interest in nature, then our 𝗡𝗮𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗚𝘂𝗮𝗿𝗱𝗶𝗮𝗻𝘀 𝘞𝘢𝘳𝘥𝘦𝘯 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘢 𝘋𝘢𝘺 three-month course is tailor-made for you.
📅 Starting on the second Saturday of March and running for 12 consecutive Saturday mornings (with a break for the Easter holidays), the course will take a group of 12 children on a fun-learning mission at our four nature reserves: Salina Nature Reserve, Simar Nature Reserve, Foresta 2000 and Għadira Nature Reserve.
👨‍🌾 Under the guidance and supervision of BirdLife Malta staff, the group will learn how to monitor water quality, how to plan and roll out habitat restoration plans and how to care for #nature in the best possible way.
📝 Applications are now open and will close on Tuesday 13th February (or before, if fully-booked). Cost of €260 covers all 12 sessions and includes a free Hoodie or T-shirt and cap with the Nature Guardians logo and a workbook . Meeting point will always be Salina Nature Reserve.
