About the Event
Half a day Conference where YMCA Malta will be showcasing the Care Programme and our Holistic approach within our Residential Facilities; Dar Niki Cassar, Y Communal Home & Y Studio Flat. The main aim of this conference is to understand our supportive approach and coordinated interventions whenever service users are accommodated in our residences. It will start at 9am and finish at 1pm.
This conference will also commemorate Albert Degiorgio – Founder of YMCA Malta. His vision back in 1976 was also to extend YMCA’s services to those sleeping rough in the streets and for the first time on the islands, YMCA started to provide apartment accommodations in Merchant Street, Valletta. Albert Degiorgio put a spotlight on ‘Homelessness’ in Malta.
