About the Event
For Refugee Week Malta, we will publicly be opening our monthly migrant meet up for an evening dedicated to putting experiences and voices of LGBTIQ+ migrants in Malta to the forefront.

Event Program7:00 PM – Interview Screening
We’ll kick off the evening with a screening of an interview with a queer couple, which is part of an upcoming documentary by Mehk Chakraborty, Bobb Attard & Nina Musumeci. Hear their stories, challenges, and triumphs as they navigate life in Malta.
7:25 PM – Open Community Discussion: Local LGBTIQ+ Migrant Experiences
Following the screening, we will open up the floor for a discussion about the local experiences of LGBTIQ+ migrants. This is a safe space to share perspectives, ask questions, exchange peer to peer advice, and discuss any topic you want.

9:00 PM – LGBTIQ+ Migrant Meetup & Hangout
Following the discussion, we will push the chairs to the side, turn up the music, and dance, hang out, connect with fellow attendees, make new friends, while enjoying Maori’s welcoming atmosphere.
