The main aim of the organisation is sustainable community development and service activities. The goal of the organisation is to help needy and disadvantaged people to provide basic needs and sustainable holistic ways of living through healthy lifestyles.

The organisation educates people for maximum utilization of the resources through seminars, workshops, conferences, study circles and service activities. The organization focuses to create awareness among people towards ecology, natural resources and sustainable development.

. The organization's goal is to build a peaceful community where people will be living holistic healthy lifestyles. The organization also promotes the preservation of local plants, insects, birds and animals.

Brief Description of NGO/Group

Proutist Universal is a non-profit and non-governmental international organisation working in different countries around the world based on a socio-economic theory Prout, Progressive Utilization Theory. Proutist Universal Malta is Malta based NGO working locally and participating in service activities with other NGOs in Malta and Europe.

Prout theory is based on universal values based on neo-humanism. Neo-humanism believes in extending one’s love not only to human beings also extending love to animals, plants, animate and inanimate objects, such as water, air and earth.

The organisation has been doing service activities to achieve sustainable development goals. The youth members participate in clean Malta projects as well as healthy and positive lifestyles training programs. The organization helps to apply the insights of Prout and to find solutions to pressing socio-economic and economical challenges, such as poverty, environmental and sustainability issues.

The organisation promotes diversity, universalism, equality and unity among the participants. People with fewer opportunities and facing discriminated get opportunities to participate in different volunteering projects. Through the activity, the organisation promotes, sustainable living, healthy lifestyle and ethical values.

Proutist Universal Malta works with local NGOs and other NGOs in Europe with sustainable community development goals and fulfilling other objectives of European Union.

Projects Being Run

Proutist Universal Malta has been running following projects co-funded by the Erasmus+ programme of the European Union.

  1. E-volunteering – a key to be active – Proutist Universal Malta is a partner organisation with the applicant organisation Level UP’s E-volunteering – a key to be active project that is an Erasmus+ project co-founded by the European Union Program Agency Erasmus+.  The activities will take place in Austria, Poland, Malta and Greece organised by the partner organisation of the countries.
  2. Erasmus+ Youth Exchange Learn From Life: European Union Programme Agency, Erasmus+ & European Solidarity Corps – EUPA Malta awards grant to Proutist Universal Malta for the project Learn From Life under the Erasmus+ Programme of European Union Key Action 1: Learning Mobility of Individuals for the year of 2021 to 2023.   3. Erasmus+ Youth Exchange Tolerance is a sign of strength – European Union Programme Agency, Erasmus+ & European Solidarity Corps – EUPA Malta selects Proutist Universal Malta for the project, Tolerance is a sign of strength under the Erasmus+ Programme of European Union Key 1: Learning Mobility of Individuals for the year of 2022 to 2023.   4. Erasmus+ Youth Exchange Media Literacy in Action: European Union Programme Agency, Erasmus+ & European Solidarity Corps – EUPA Malta awards grant to Proutist Universal Malta for the project Media Literacy in Action under the Erasmus+ Programme of European Union Key 1: Learning Mobility of Individuals for the year of 2022 to 2023.   5.  Erasmus+ Training course EAT (Europe à Table): The TC will take place from 8th to 16th of June 2022 in Serre-Chevalier, France (in a mountainous area). Proutist Universal Malta is a partner organisation. Contact us at info@pumalta.org.

  7. Erasmus+ Youth Exchange “E-volunteering simulation”: Proutist Universal Malta is a partner organisation with the applicant organisation Level Up’s Erasmus+ Youth Exchange “E-volunteering simulation” in Malta
  8. Erasmus+ Youth Exchange Protecting our lungs: Proutist Universal Malta is a partner organisation with the applicant organisation Amazing Youth, Greece’s Erasmus+ Youth Exchange Protecting our lungs at Greece on August 28 to September 10, 2022.
  9. Inclusive Sports Training for Youth Workers: Proutist Universal Malta is a partner organisation with FODISZ (Hungary) at Baja, Hungary on 22-28 August, 2022
  10. Beekeepers Empowerment through Erasmus+ project – Bee + Beekeepers Empowerment through Erasmus + project has been approved by the Italian national agency (EC Project Number: 2021-1-IT03-KA153-YOU-000021254. The onsite training activities will be held in for five days. It will involve five partners including Proutist Universal Malta.
  11. Erasmus+ Youth Exchange Mental Health Matters: The Youth Exchange project “Mental Health Matters” was successfully approved. Proutist Universal Malta is a participating organisation with the applicant organisation Unique Projects, Lithuania. The event will will take place in 2023.
  12. Erasmus+ Youth Exchange Young people for a green future – European Union Programme Agency, Erasmus+ & European Solidarity Corps – EUPA Malta selects Proutist Universal Malta for the project, Young people for a green future under the Erasmus+ Programme of European Union Key 1: Learning Mobility of Individuals for the year of 2022 to 2024.

Our primary aim is working on education that we believe is paramount to the positive development of children and youths regardless of gender, age, race or religion. We do this through the following 5 pillars: Environment, Sports, Capacity Building, Culture and Health.

Projects Being Run

Locally, Right 2 Smile runs a Youth Group in St Lucija, and is now setting up a new one in Valletta. Another Youth Group is located in Marsa, which is run in collaboration with the Malta Trust Foundation.
Internationally, Right 2 Smile has two partners in Kenya (Olasiti and Tania), as well as in Cambodia.

Opportunities

Locally, one can volunteer as a Youth mentor in one of the Youth Groups.
Internationally, placements of a minimum of 3 weeks are offered, whereby volunteers go to either Kenya or Cambodia on one of our projects.
Training for both opportunities is given to all new volunteers.

Brief Description of NGO/Group

SOS Malta aims to aid people experiencing times of crisis and to empower them by providing support services and opportunities to implement development and change in their country. SOS Malta works with local and international organisations to assist socially disadvantaged groups in improving their quality of life. It encourages advocacy on behalf of social causes as well as promotes models of good care and practice. SOS Malta initially started working in overseas development, emergency relief and livelihood programmes. While maintaining these overseas areas of activity, the organisation over time developed other areas of activities, having more of a local dimension. As such, SOS Malta is now built upon 4 pillars of action, these being:

Spark 15 is a refugee led NGO that works towards overcoming challenges within the refugee community. We do this through advocacy, education and holding activities such as football.

1. Ċentru Antida Family Support Services Hub:
The services it provides include the following:
- Community Social Work Service - serving families from the localities of Tarxien, Paola, Fgura, Santa Luċija and Birżebbuġa: home-visits, family care plans, advocacy, referral to other agencies, information dissemination, emotional support; non-formal education; support groups.
- Volunteer Mentors matched with vulnerable young persons and adults.
- Volunteering opportunities: supported volunteering for service users, befrienders, mentors, reception workers and volunteer handymen in support of poor families.
- A range of in-kind supports to poor families: Food Aid, Hygiene Bank, clothing, furnishings, books, baby items and toys; and a Debt Relief Fund.

2. SOAR Service: Advocacy and support by survivors for victims and survivors of domestic violence (soarmalta@gmail.com); Saturday Club; groups; workshops for practitioners, information, start-up of a social enterprise called Meraki.
